Thanks to Craig Huntington for his work Sunday March 30 presenting the testimonial sermons from Acts 21-23 when he is arrested in Jerusalem.
Adult Ed continues featuring these sermons of POWER as our church looks at confronting the world around us in these days.
The sermons in Acts were messages that changed the world. When we talk about Christian outreach with POWER this is what we are talking about. Be grounded in the prime message of the Cross of Christ and you will be prepared to share more powerfully in this time and place we live within…to those around us who need the Lord.
Jason Ingrassia will present the sermons of Paul in his defense in front of the courts in Caesarea after he is arrested in Jerusalem.
Paul is secreted to Caesarea for his own safety and has lengthy appeals in front of Felix and Festus and Herod Agrippa in Acts 24-26 this coming Sunday April 6–hearing this powerful testimony to yet another level of authorities gives us inspiration for our own testimonies.
Adult Ed meets in the pews from 9:45 to 10:35 am. All lessons are stand-alone — come when you can!
To prep this week, read through Acts 24-26 three times. Read through the section all at once, like a letter from home.
Reminder: To purchase your own copy of a Book of Common Prayer (BCP), 2019 Anglican Church of North America edition, contact: https://anglicanhousepublishers.org/the-shop/
BCPs start at around $30 for the editions like our pew prayer books. More expensive covers and bindings are available.
The link to the Hillsdale free online lessons on Ancient Christianity we watched led by Father David on 1/19, 1/26, 2/2 is here. The lessons we watched were 1, 3, 4. Lesson 4 is a terrific synopsis of the historic impact of the real Jesus on the land and times of his life.
Hope to see you with us in adult ed this Sunday!
