There are only THREE adult ed sessions left before our break for the summer—these sessions are especially geared to the Easter/Pentecost season in the church:
May 4, May 11 and May 18: Lawrence Silverstein on the Holy Spirit and Pentecost–both in the Old and New Testaments, with some added teachings from Howard Hill on the Holy Spirit’s role in sanctification.
Adult Ed concludes for the 2024-2025 year after our May 18 session with our summer break.
Thanks to Deb Silverstein for her complete and concise lessons on the hymns of Easter—Deb’s presentations are always so complete. History, theology, music styles, etc. We have handouts of this class if anyone wants one just ask me if you missed it.
Adult Ed meets in the pews from 9:45 to 10:35 am. All lessons are stand-alone — come when you can!
Reminder: To purchase your own copy of a Book of Common Prayer (BCP), 2019 Anglican Church of North America edition, contact: https:// anglicanhousepublishers.org/ the-shop/
BCPs start at around $30 for the editions like our pew prayer books. More expensive covers and bindings are available.
The link to the Hillsdale free online lessons on Ancient Christianity we watched led by Father David on 1/19, 1/26, 2/2 is here. The lessons we watched were 1, 3, 4. Lesson 4 is a terrific synopsis of the historic impact of the real Jesus on the land and times of his life.
Hope to see you with us in adult ed this Sunday!
