Adult Education – July and August

While there are no classes on Sunday mornings through July 5th, classes will resume on July 12th with the following sessions:

July 12, 19, 26: Rev. David Grissom presents “Paul’s Preaching on Mars Hill (Acts 17)”.  The Athenians are all around us!  The parallels between the culture of first century Athens and our multi-cultural society today are important to understand.

August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30:  Grant Henley discusses Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Ministry in Germany during WW2.  This is a study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Life Together (1939),  the written account of his seminarian training experiment for Lutheran pastors who were members of the Confessing Church in Nazi Germany.

Fall Sessions start up September 6th.

We invite you to join us each Sunday between the 8:30 and 11:00 services for these sessions.

 

 

Plans for the summer edition of Adult Ed

Adult Ed is sharing this attached recent revision trifold for the summer schedule to help our congregation stay informed about what’s happening. Print it out and keep it handy! The ongoing Bible studies are called out in the text. Get involved with either the SAW or the SAMs Bible studies while we are on summer break.
